This leaves a clean aesthetic to the whole scene and helped me reach my goal for this project of having a self contained diorama.That when a thing lies still, unlesse somewhat els stirre it, it will lye still for ever, is a truth that no man doubts of. eventually opting to make the wires fade away and make the entire scene set around a circular floor. This also meant that i had to work to make the scene as self contained as possible. this was because i wanted the viewer to be able to orbit around the CRT and see the action from any angle. The game Paper Knights itself is a parody of one of my previous projects DeadEye Knights and is set inside of the CRT. I Really wanted to do a small selfcontained scene after my previous project and felt that a small diorama paying homage to one of my favourite RPG's Paper Mario was a good way to scratch that itch. this scene is intended to be viewed with a free camera through the Sketchfab viewer. Paper Knights is a diorama dedicated to the Nintendo 64 and Paper Mario. This Project is also completely compatible with all major Virtual Reality devices (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index) This was created as i feel there is alot more magic to an environment when you can physically stand in it. This entire demonstration clocks in to around 5-10 minutes of gameplay if you work your way through it slowly. and features an environment with a multitude of different objects to interact with the heart and learn about. This had been an ongoing project since June 2020. Thus ultimately culminating as this Project. the Environment needed to be able to tie in with the Emotional value tied to the Mechanic. This was the main focus of the project and as development on the mechanic continued it became clear that a simple test area wouldn't do the functionality Justice. namely, the ability to focus on objects in the environment and learn about its history. Everything featured in this project was sculpted, modelled, textured and functionally implemented by hand.ĭisheartened is based heavily around The Heart mechanic in Arkanes Dishonored series of games. The Monster is designed to be of Demonic inspiration and is designed with Magma and Volcanic Rock Plating for the Main body and Legs with Cracks and Crevices.ĭisheartened is a Portfolio Piece created by Myself. But for the purposes of Rapid Prototyping this Sculpt is more than enough for my needs. The sculpt itself is still able to be moved forward and expanded upon to create a more Realistic sculpt in Future. This Sculpt was intended to be more Realistic but due to my inexperience with Zbrush the Sculpt was still very Stylistic in its Design. Conceptualized and Developed with Zbrush and Unreal Engine 4 with Optimization in Mind for Gameplay. the Level contains alot of differences in themes and Colour Theory throughout gameplay and the Level design works well in all variances of Colour Design.Ī 3D Sculpt of a Monster. the Office is meant to give that realistic look and feel of an Office that has been Delapidated and Abandoned but is still in working order. This environment is based off of Late 80's Offices often seen in Movies and Various scenes of Pop Culture. SpookySketches, Programming and Level Design SquareOfTheLightOnes, Pixel Art And Concepting ShadyVox, Creative Director, Music and Sound Engineering Roo is being developed to be Comfortable with Controller and Keyboard in Mind. and giving the player multiple options of movement is a great way to Nurture a Community focused on Beating levels as Quickly as possible.Ĭurrently Roo is able to (Walk, Run, Wall Slide, Wall Jump, Duck, Jump with Varying Height) with the future possibilities of more Movement options such as Airdashing and Double Jumping. the most important part of a Good Platformer is Good Controls. Alot of the development of Project Roo so far has focused mainly on the Mechanics of Roo herself. Project Roo has been in Development since September of 2019 and makes use of the Paper2D Utilities within Unreal Engine 4. Project Roo is a 2D Platformer being Developed in Unreal Engine 4.
